Day 5

Day 4

Day 3

The bride and flower girl’s shoes.

Day 2

This is a favorite from a friend’s wedding in Anchorage, Alaska. All day, I had the hardest time getting these twins to even look at me, let alone smile – and at this moment they both looked at me and waved. Glad I had my camera ready, to be sure.

Photo Love

So, I realize that this blog sits and sits and sits without much updating. I’ve decided to add one photo (or more) a day to this blog. Just favorites from weddings, engagements, or what have you… something to keep this space a little fresher than it has been in the past!

Starting… NOW.

A & P – Sneak Peek!

Thank you, so much for letting us be a part of your fairytale day! Here are three of our favorite images from the day, and trust me, it was hard to choose only three! All the best, and stay tuned for more to come!

Mark and Grainne: Married!

We first met Mark and Grainne last year for their engagement session. We knew that their personalities and ours were a perfect fit, and this was one of the millions of reasons we were looking forward to their particular day.

We met Grainne and the female members of her family at their hair salon to start the day. This was just the beginning of how welcomed we felt into their family…

Grainne’s brothers were in charge of bringing the food for their brunch – and it was fantastic! We had planned on keeping a low profile during their brunch and just letting things unfold for the cameras – but they had other plans! They invited us to sit down with their family to enjoy the bounty set before us and join in the conversation. Throughout this day, we felt less and less like the “wedding photographers” and more like family. And of course, the food was delicious!

After brunch, Witold went over to the Theater Royale to meet up with Mark and wait for Grainne’s arrival for their beautiful ceremony. I stayed behind because it was time for Grainne and her family to get ready for the main event!

Finally, it was time! Grainne and her dad looked nervously into the main hall to see if everyone was ready…

…and of course, they were!

The Theater Royale, where they got married is just across the way from Waterford Crystal. We had fun posing by the buildings as people drove by, honking their congratulations.

Just as we were leaving to go to Dungarvan for the reception, the Waterford Crystal manager rushed out to congratulate Grainne and Mark and present them with a gift of beautiful toasting flutes! It was a pleasant surprise for everyone!

We arrived in Dungarvan, and just as we had lost all hope for a non-cloudy Irish day – the sun peeked out and we were able to have some fun with a beautiful sunset sky.

As the night came to a close, we felt like we had a whole new set of friends and we were quite sad to leave. A big congratulations to Grainne and Mark on their wedding and here’s to many years of happiness and love for the future!

Helen + Pat: Married!

Never have I felt/seen such raw emotion at a wedding. Helen and Pat had had their fair share of living without each other before they met just 15 months ago, but it didn’t take much to know that they were perfect for each other. I cry at pretty much every wedding we take photos of, but some of these moments they shared at their wedding had me reduced to silent happy blubbers behind my camera! It made me feel so wonderful to be a part of it.

Helen and Pat are truly amazing together. They compliment each other in such a way that even the people around them reflect their glow. Their families were just great too. Everyone had smiles on their faces the whole day, and during the reception, we were excited to witness true Irish culture, joy, and dance. Speaking of dancing – I don’t think I’ve ever attended or photographed a wedding where so many people were actually up dancing! Real dancing too – not just the half-hearted white-man’s-shimmy out on the floor after a few pints. I found myself wanting to join in the festivities! :)

We had such a great time photographing their very special day, and hope you enjoy a sneak peek of their final wedding photos! Bail ó Dhia ort, to our newest friends, Helen and Pat!
